Unplanned COPD Admission Prediction Model

Overview

This model predicts the risk of unplanned hospital admission due to COPD within 30 days, using claims data from the CMS Health AI Challenge. It is designed for Medicare and Medicaid populations and targets patients with a history of COPD.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Patient must have a prior COPD diagnosis before the prediction date
• Prediction date must not fall within an inpatient admission

The model provides explainability outputs and has undergone fairness testing.
